Cycling to break the cycle of suicide and cupcakes, part 1
The story I want to share really starts when my hero husband decided to participate in the Cycle Against Suicide Campaign the spin between Gorey and Wexford. A very positive contribution to physically take part in the cycle that turned into an amazing experience he came back so buzzed! Plus it was a very positive way to talk about suicide with our three sons. That was the day Dubstarts was on in Dublin, while I headed up to have meetings and talk to startups about possible work, he got on his bike with about 200 other cyclists and did the spin to Wexford..Did you hear about the campaign? A two week cycle around Ireland with outreach into schools and communities."It's okay to not feel okay" is a huge message that coupled with "its okay to ask for help" is something that is being talked about and shared thanks to this astonishing campaign. Jim Breen and his team around CAS #Breakthecycle really have achieved something.
The Cycle against Suicide is a phenomenal story for a positive Ireland. Up until now 500 lives have been lost in Ireland annually to suicide. In the community we live in this is a real and present issue. If this issue effects you or you need to talk to someone about not feeling ok talk to someone The Samaritans 1850 60 90 90.

I was being fed a few images to tweet during the day and text messages to keep me informed where the group was and their estimated time of arrival to the Garda Rowing Club in Islandbridge.
The crowd gathered and enjoyed some music and stunt cycling while we waited.
As the time drew closer the awaiting crowd filtered out to the side of the road to form a welcome and... post 2
