How important is creativity to you?

Are you creative?
Do you consider yourself creative?
I have blogged before about my Creativity Creedo, Creative Enthral, Creativity in the workplace, as a family, for boosting morale and self esteem, creativity is not the sole preserve of the artist or designer actually if you search the word #creativity on http://creativedynamic.blogspot.com/ you will be offered 32 blog posts to read.
Creativity in YOUR context is the cornerstone of my work - sometimes I think that the creative element is more important to activate and support in others then in how I express my own creativity. As an artist who  makes object based and visual work that is a significant statement. But in terms of the direction of my work right now it is true.
My creative practice is one of questions my Collaboration framing in September 2009 has informed and shaped a lot of my work up until now
A new set of questions are being formed looking at art and design for civic society. It feels like I am very much going back to my roots in visual communication but with a heavy dose of community activation and development. This will not be work I make alone by its nature I'll be building partnerships and links to work on the ground work. I've tried to rush this work but it demands slow thoughtful due process, so...
it evolves. This summer I plan to give myself some critical thinking time to really look at what is shaping my practice and decide if I want to continue it or not. What are the big questions that really interest me and how do I want to shape my work? This review was happening anyway but in part has been influenced by my experience in Barcelona and taking responsibility for my own learning. Ideally I would like it to be forming a thesis and formal research or study as part of an organisation but right now I am reformulating and accessing my intentions for work. I want to work at a level that I think and research at and up until now that has not always been the case.
With all that said my day to day work continues: the documentary, some graphics, facilitating education and community development work, I have three sculptures to create and exhibition opportunities to explore. I'm developing my links in sports and physical activity towards a layering in of cultural and arts based work  (hopefully over the summer) exploring place, movement and conversational stories with people. There is also some talk of labyrinths on the beaches of Wexford in the next few months, I'd love that but have to see if its practical. Then there is the conversation to continue with the local library and a few other things floating around that I need to say yes or no to.
Disruption - disrupt they self! Me - I'm ready to up the anti.
On a more global scale ADOBE has just completed a survey
STATE OF CREATE, Global benchmark study on attitudes and beliefs about creativity at work, school, home makes for excellent reading.
