Feedback

What do you think about feedback? Do you ask for it? How do you handle it when you receive it?
When I hang an exhibition I want to see and hear peoples reactions... with visual art the feedback loop is only on completed work? But should it be?
When I finish a commission or a project I want constructive feedback so I can improve the next cycle of my work and develop professionally. Feedback feels part of an encompassing process. Do you agree?
I also think this is ingrained in how I project manage work due to my background as a technical project manager in the localisation industry during the 90's. I really felt a project was not finished till we had completed a post mortem.
One of the reasons I started blogging and using social media was to share my creative process earlier and get feedback on ideas, paintings, textiles and participatory projects I am involved in.

Feedback is critical to improving my work... what's critical to improving yours?
