I'm delighted to be organising an Ingenious Ireland tour with Mary and Lunch with Girl Geek Dinners as a follow on from the excellent #WeAreHere event in November.
An invitation has been out on social media to these networks
@CodingGrace @WITSIreland @DigiWomenIRL
@irelandggd @askatonevents
if you work in technology, engineering or a digital space you're invited to an Ingenious Dublin! Networking walk with a geeky twist, and (optional) lunch on the 29th of March. Details and ticket booking here.
24 of us will wander with intrigue on one of Mary Mulvihill's walks and afterwards head to somewhere local for a late lunch. Christina and I are working on a Lunch venue which will be announced later this week.
Mary aka Ingenious Ireland is listed as one of the 100 top women in science, technology, engineering and maths recently published by SiliconRepublic.com. She is an author, science journalist,media and communications consultant, helping researchers to explain their work to general audiences, authority on Dublin, science and inventions.
This walking tour and alternative networking event fits in very well with my practice of walking meetings and mentoring sessions. I think its time to find different ways to work, connect and network. I had this idea last year, I suggested it to others... thinking that they were better placed to deliver it.
Ideas having there time seems to be a theme this year, so lets make it happen.
The 29th of March in Dublin is shaping up to a curious day with an interesting group of women. Are you coming? Stick the date in your diary. Come join in!
Some of you have asked will I run more events as you can't make it? Lets see how this one goes... But if you can't make it and would like to be included in the next shout out leave me a comment below.
