Group development through the arts

There are lots of ways to teach people how to do things but one of the most effective ways is by doing something through experiential learning.
Yesterday I mentioned I was teaching 16 women how to make felt this morning. The reply i got was "oh is that your hobby?" I was surprised at how deeply I was offended. No its not my hobby I'm working in community development teaching an amazing group of diverse women how to work together as a group and develop more stand alone responsibilities.
